6/6/2009 (KUNA) --Kuwait's Ambassador to Canada Musaed Al-Haroun honored several of the Gulf state's doctors who completed their specialization studies and training here in different majors, attaining fellowships in the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. An embassy statement, issued Saturday, quoted the ambassador as saying during the ceremony that Kuwaiti doctors had a sound reputation here and that their performance and dedication were vouched for. He said this reputation was built on the Kuwaiti doctors' belief in the importance of maintaining the high status of their country and to best represent it at all international conventions. The honorees -- ear surgeon Dr. Ali Safar, cardio surgeon Dr. Dhirar Al-Shihab, and anesthesiologist and ICU specialist Dr. Salah Taqi -- expressed their appreciation for the support of the embassy and the ambassador. They added that they would be implementing what they learnt at home, and would work for the advancement of the medical sector in Kuwait. << Back to Embassy News and Events page |
