Kuwaiti Ambassador Ali Al-Sammak presented his credentials

Kuwaiti Ambassador Ali Al-Sammak presented his credentials on Friday to Canada's Governor General Michaelle Jean at a ceremony held here.

Kuwait Embassy in Canada said in a press release Al-Sammak conveyed to Jean the greetings and good wishes of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.

He stressed on following the directions of His Highness the Amir on developing relations between Kuwait and Canada in all fields and preserving joint values for the interest of the two countries' peoples and world's safety and stability.

On her part, Jean expressed happiness and satisfaction at the level of the Kuwaiti-Canadian relations, praising the efforts of the Gulf country's leadership for the promotion of these ties.

She stressed on the importance of continuing efforts to build new bridges of cooperation in the fields of economy, investment, education, health, energy and infrastructure.

She emphasized that the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states were important to Canada, hailing democracy in Kuwait.

The ceremony was attended by Canadian officials and members of Kuwait Embassy
