Ambassador of Kuwait meets the Speaker of the Senate
Ottawa, Canada

Following His Excellency’s submission of credentials as Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to Canada, Ambassador Ali Al-Sammak met with the Honourable Noël Kinsella, the Speaker of the Senate of Canada.

The discussions focused on enhancing bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and expanding cooperation in trade and investment with Kuwait, which has a fast-growing and vibrant economy in the Arab region.

The Honourable Speaker of the Senate asked His Excellency the Ambassador to convey his greetings to His Highness the Amir of the State of Kuwait, His Highness the Crown Prince and the Speaker of Kuwait’s National Assembly.

Hon. Kinsella commended the bilateral relations between Kuwait and Canada and praised the movement of democracy and the Kuwaiti woman’s right to vote and run as a member of parliament. He also extended his invitation to His Excellency Jassim Al-Kharafi, Kuwait’s Speaker of the National Assembly, to visit Canada.

His Excellency, Ambassador Al-Sammak conveyed to Hon. Kinsella the greetings of His Highness the Amir of the State of Kuwait and His Highness the Crown Prince, expressing his wishes of continued progress and prosperity to Canada.
