Arab Day

On June 1, 2010, the Embassy of the State of Kuwait participated with the Council of Arab Ambassadors in celebrating “the Arab Day”.
The event attracted many Canadians as well as members of the Arab community. The event was attended by the Speaker of the House of Commons, the Honourable Peter Millikan; the Speaker of the Senate, the Honourable Noel A. Kinsella; and the Minister of Immigration, the Honourable Jason Kenny and many other Canadian officials.
A cultural exhibition was held on the celebration sidelines of the Arab Day, depicting each Arab state's heritage. At the Kuwaiti pavilion, the Embassy displayed some Kuwaiti art, handcrafts and food specialties which reflected the Kuwaiti culture, heritage and way of life.
